Wild horses are currently being captured and removed in and around the Heber Wild Horse Territory. A local U.S. Forest Service official has confirmed that private individuals may remove horses classified as “unauthorized livestock,” raising serious concerns about transparency, oversight, and the protection of federally protected wild horses.
