Kids Take Action

Cloud vertinsnow2012Kids! You can help save wild horse herds like Cloud's!

Kids just like you helped save wild horses back in the days of "Wild Horse Annie" to get a law passed to protect America's wild horses and burros (the Wild Free-Roaming Horse & Burro Act of 1971). Thousands of kids wrote letters to Congress asking to protect the mustangs, and it worked!

Today, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) does not use the law the way it was intended. But we can change that if we all work together. Here's some things you can do to help!

Write!

Write to President Obama and your Congressmen - ask them to stop the roundups now!
Since wild horses belong on public lands, they belong to the public. That means you!

Teach!

Teach your friends and family about wild horses & burros! You can tell them about wild mustangs and Cloud. Do a school project or paper on them, or whatever you want! The possibilities are endless! If you do any art, you can send to us and we'll put it up on our site here.

The more you know about wild horses & burros, the more you can tell others about them!
