chasing Red Raven and other

back off from her and newborn, Flint.

In late afternoon Bolder accompanies Shaman's family to the reservoir waterhole atop the mountain.

precocious son of Red Raven and Blue Sioux.

Cloud and Bolder exchange a friendly
greeting on the sub-alpine
meadows atop the Arrowheads.

The mares, little Cloud Dancer,
Flint and the fillies are followed by
protector and father, Cloud.

Two bachelor stallions spar atop the
mountain, practicing the skills
needed to command a family band.
20. "Greeting Looking Glass"
The powerful Dun stallion greets two
bachelors atop the mountain in late fall.
21. "Shaman Spirit"
The powerful dun stallion paws in a
shallow red waterhole, the result of a
violent thunderstorm atop the Arrowheads.

A grulla mare surveys her spectacular home on Sykes Ridge with the Bighorn Canyon below.
