How you can help the Dry Creek Quartet!

Foals1 MG 6539.SIG Foals2 MG 6545.SIG

On March 24th The Cloud Foundation received an anonymous tip that the BLM conducted a helicopter roundup and removed 41 free-roaming horses from public land in north-central Wyoming. All but four foals were sold to a Canadian slaughterhouse.  The foals were purchased from Worland Livestock Auction by Kim Michels.
The Cloud Foundation transported these foals, all between 3 and 12 weeks old, to Colorado where they are now under the expert care of Dr. Lisa Jacobson, DVM.  They require special nutrition and socialization as they acclimate to their new environment.

If you would like to support our efforts on behalf of the foals please donate here. Thanks!

Our work to preserve America's wild horses and burros is expensive. You can help us with our legal fees by donating to this fund.
We have several ongoing lawsuits throughout the West, including in Triple B Nevada and our status as an intervener in Wyoming (where the Rock Springs Grazing Association is trying to get BLM to remove the majority of Wyoming's mustangs permanently). *If you wish to donate to our lawsuit in the Pryors, please donate to "Cloud's Legal" above.

The Freedom Fund

In September of 2009, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) removed an entire sub-population of wild horses from the Custer National Forest lands in the Pryor Mountains. The older horses in these family bands were acquired by the Cloud Foundation (TCF) to prevent the horses from being permanently penned in feedlot style facilities, and to prevent the family bands from being separated and the stallions gelded.
TCF also acquired the horses as a genetic reservoir for the main Pryor herd, which is a small, isolated herd in danger of suffering irreparable genetic loss. To learn more about the Freedom Families, please click here.

You can sponsor one of the horses directly by clicking here.

Or you can make a regular donation here to help support these horses:
